All athletic performance requires strength to build resilient and robust bodies. Strength & conditioning is a fundamental part of successful performance. Whether you are aiming for a personal best run, kicking goals, swimming faster or trying to dance more powerfully, strength is integral to minimising injury and maximising success. If strength and conditioning wasn’t an essential element, it wouldn’t be apart of every high performance sporting club in the world.

Uninformed strength programs that you find on social media or YouTube, will not provide you with the keys to success. If it was that easy, we would never get injured or break down when training. All body types are different and the demands of sport and athletic performance are different, thus you require an informed, evidenced based approach to your strength and conditioning program.

Our strength & conditioning training programs provide individualised training based on personal goals, injury history, testing and sport-specific demands. Whether you train with our physiotherapists in our lab or prefer a guided home program, we are here to support you. We offer private (1:1) or semi-private classes (1:4)

Training sessions are led by an Axis performance specialist. Nutrition coaching and sports physiotherapy can also be added.

Running Assessment & Analysis

We test and analyse different parts of your body to determine what your body needs to improve your running. Whether you are an elite runner or a 3km plotter, we are here to help you improve, reduce injury risk or manage a running related injury.

Weightlifting/gym Assessment & Analysis

Do you continue to break down every time you try to lift heavier? Or has your training plateaued? Do you avoid dead lifts or other lifts because you always injure your back? Dead lifts are one of the most protective exercises for low back pain when executed well. These are simple and easy training training errors and with our thorough assessment of your body, we can identify contributing factors and help to get you back to doing all the lifts you love with correct technique as well as minimise injury risk. RECOVERY LAB

Our recovery lab offers a range of effective recovery tools to help you train and perform at your best. Recovery is one of the most neglected principals of training, yet it provides the body time to repair both physically and mentally.

The most common mistake that leads to injury is training errors- overtraining or under training the body. Allowing your body time to rejuvenate helps to restore the body’s homeostasis which enables adaptation, improved training and performance.

CLUB/TEAM PERFORMANCE TESTING & ANALYSIS

All athletes on a team depend on each other, so why not prepare your entire squad to perform at their best. Our performance testing lab services team and community sport organisations. This provides teams with the opportunity to access testing equipment that elite clubs and individual athletes receive in a high-performance setting.

Visit our performance lab and our performance specialists will run through testing with your entire team. We then analyse the results and prepare individual programs based on the results, player position or athletic demands of the sport.
